Adult Art Classes Painting in Oil with Lisa Palombo
I am so please to announce that I will be offering two paintings workshops this winter; a consecutive three day workshop in February and my Saturday painting class in March.
We will be working in oil from natural still life setups on small to medium canvases in my studio. Painting small and often in this manner is a powerful way to rapidly improve your skills.

Workshop Winter Session 2012: (Feb.13, 14, 15, 2012)
working on one medium painting in 3 consecutive days
Level: Advanced Beginner - Intermediate
Time: 9:30 am - 12:30pm
Cost: $165 per session
Materials: Class fee does not include supplies. Supply list and other recommendations will be provided.

Saturday Winter Session 2012: (March 3, 10, 17, 24, 2012)
working on one small painting each saturday
Level: Advanced Beginner - Intermediate
Time: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Cost: $220 per session
Materials: Class fee does not include supplies. Supply list and other recommendations will be provided.

  Participants can expect...

  • Emphasis on the painting process
  • Discussion and demonstration of how to begin a painting
  • Focus on basic principles of design, rules of composition, value, color and shape
  • Lisa will work alongside the students, demonstrating when necessary

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Contemporary American Impressionist Lisa Palombo began her formal art education at the age of nine while spending summers at the acclaimed Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). She later graduated from RISD with honors. She also completed graduate studies in Fine Art at the European Honors Program in Rome, Italy.
Palombo produces magical florals, still lifes and landscapes in a unique style that is unmistakable in her expressive brushwork and fearless use of color. She is considered a master of color and the natural form. Palombo not only paints, but also regularly blogs and speaks at public venues. Her work has been featured on more than 40 book covers, including several New York Times bestsellers as well as showcased in Art & Antiques Magazine, Southern Living, The Artist's Magazine, American Art Review and a Columbia Pictures movie, The Bounty Hunter.
Palombo is listed in the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C., and the Marquis Who's Who in American Art. Her paintings are featured in the books The Best of Oil Painting, Exploring Color, The Best
of American Oil Artists (Vol. II) and Lisa Palombo: American Impressionist. Her work can also be found in select galleries, her own studio gallery and in private and corporate collections throughout the U.S.
