2004 ANNUAL NEWSLETTER

Dear Friends & Collectors:

ANOTHER BOUNTIFUL YEAR

2003 was an exciting year for Lisa Palombo Studios. My impressionistic oil paintings continue to gain prominence, and I’m pleased to have sold over 100 original paintings nationwide this past year.
Most of my landscape, seascape, still life and floral works were sold through outdoor art exhibitions, juried competitions, gallery exhibitions, open studio events, direct mailings and my web site. As a result of the growing demand for my work, my prices will once again increase the end of January, 2004.

ARTIST OF THE MONTH The Artist’s Magazine

I was honored when selected and featured as the “Artist of the Month” in the
November online issue of The Artist’s Magazine, a prominent national art
publication that reaches over 200,000 subscribers every month.
The article covers not only the highlights of my career, but also the inspiration behind the images I’m capturing today. It then focuses on one award-winning painting, “Irises & Pussy Willows,” and discusses my technique and the painting process behind the piece. Needless to say, this is an impressive feature article.
In fact, I’m still receiving an abundance of positive feedback from this story.

OPEN STUDIO EVENTS

I opened my 800 square-foot studio for several events in 2003, Including a Spring Open Studio, The Women’s Club Scholarship & Welfare Garden Tour and Holiday Open Studio. The studio openings are an important venue for displaying recently completed work, especially new series like my Water Lily, Fields of Joy and Wine Cellar paintings. In fact, it’s not uncommon for a few paintings at these shows to be bought fresh off the easel.
I have included a partial list of 2004 studio openings and exhibitions at the end of this newsletter for your convenience. If you’ve been unable to attend one of our openings, mark your calendar now. It’s a great excuse to relax and enjoy good conversation, light refreshments and fine art. Also, individual studio visits are welcome throughout the year and can be arranged by appointment.

Thank you to the 2003 Holiday Open Studio crew.

LOOKING AHEAD

I’m looking forward to several major projects we have planned for 2004. Currently, I’m painting the official image for the NJ Festival of Ballooning poster. In fact, you may notice the image on the Arizona Iced Tea cans this summer. The painting will also be available as a limited-edition print from Lisa Palombo Studios later this year.

In closing, I’m thankful that my path has always been clear – to create beautiful paintings that are close to my heart and touch people’s lives in some way. Thank you for supporting my creative expressions.

Wishing you flower-filled dreams and a healthy, abundant new year,

LISA PALOMBO
